Sabun Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Sabun is a native Mac app for reviewing changes in local Git repositories. It lets you compare your working tree with a branch, inspect file diffs, mark changes as reviewed, and edit or restore working files.
No data collection
Sabun does not collect, track, upload, sell, or share any personal information.
We do not collect your repository contents, source code, file paths, branch names, Git remote URLs, review state, app settings, usage analytics, device identifiers, crash reports, or any other app data.
Local processing
Sabun reads Git metadata and files only from repositories you choose. Diff generation, file viewing, editing, and restore operations are performed locally on your Mac. Sabun does not require an account or a cloud service, and it does not fetch from or push to Git remotes.
Local storage and repository access
Sabun stores a limited amount of app data locally on your Mac, including recent repository details, security-scoped bookmarks used to reopen folders you selected, review markers, and app settings. This information is not sent to HamsterBase or any third party.
When you edit or restore a file in Sabun, the app writes directly to the selected repository on your Mac. These changes remain under your control and can be reviewed with Git or another tool of your choice.
If your repository is stored in a synced folder, or if you use a Git hosting service, backup tool, or other third-party software, that service may process your files or repository information according to its own privacy policy. Sabun itself does not send your data to those services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Sabun changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
